Alice in Chains Release Check My Brain as First Single
Here is your Alice in Chains single released to rock radio today. It is
called Check My Brain and it is undeniably Alice in Chains. What amazes
me is how much Jerry Cantrell wrote the old music, because it has the
typical AIC elements even though Layne is gone.
I loaded the song on my iPhone through the glorious YouTube application and took it around the streets of Philadelphia asking people what they thought. Here is a sampling:
"Sounds great like classic Alice in Chains."
"It is missing something."
"I hate the slow down and speed up slow down speed up part of this song."
"I love the harmonies. It is what made them AIC and they really kept it."
"What the hell is this song about?"
"Jesus that guitar is great."
"I don't want to listen to anything you have on that thing until you put pants on."
"Is this something about Michael Vick, because if not, I am not interested."
