Marketing geniuses or just dumbasses? You have to be the judge on this news. In America, there is a teen book entitled New Moon about good looking vampires who use their looks to rape women while werewolves watch. I assume that is what it is about because I haven't read the books.

Well they are turning that book into a movie and all the teen girls cream their pants and leave snail trails all over their dad's leather BMW seats thinking about Edward and Comanche, or whatever the stereotypical werewolf American Indian guy's name is.

The movie New Moon will be released on November 20 of this year, ten days AFTER Finnish doom metallers Swallow the Sun will release their fifth album, entitled "New Moon", via Spinefarm Records.

The CD is being recorded at Fascination Street studios in Örebro, Sweden with Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with such acts as KATATONIA, OPETH, PARADISE LOST and AMON AMARTH. Kai Hahto (WINTERSUN, ex-ROTTEN SOUND) has been recruited to play drums on the album following the recent departure of longtime skinsman Pasi Pasanen.

So is it great marketing on their part or just an unfortunately naming convention? Either way, I am more apt to see raping of women and werewolves watching with Finnish doom metal than I am in an American theater.
