Vinny Paul Talks About Next HellYeah Album

HellYeah is a "heavy metal supergroup" containing the likes of Vinny Paul (PanteraDamageplan), Chad Gray (Mudvayne), Bob Zilla (Damageplan), Greg Tribbett (Mudvayne), and Tom Maxwell (Nothingface).

The band's first album could have been a lot better, but perhaps it was my assumptions they were going to be better that ruined the album. I had high expectations for them and they disappointed me. Well there is going to be a second record and I am hoping it is much better.

Vinny Paul sat down with MetalSucks and talked about the new HellYeah album. His answer is below. They talked about a lot of other shit, so check out the interview.

MetalSucks: Speaking of playing music, what can you tell us about the new HellYeah record?

Vinnie Paul: I think it's going to be an extension of the last one. That was the good thing about that record, we never pigeonholed ourselves into that one certain corner or sound. It's very diverse, very open. From us touring together and playing live and really see the fan reactions, we definitely molded into a real band. It really solidified everything being able to be on tour. Everyone is so super excited about getting back together and doing this thing again. Everyone is really focused. We nearly got a gold record last year. We sold over 400,000 units, and like I said earlier, that's really tough to do in this day and age. We're going to try to push it all the way to the next level this time around. Expect more of the same, a little more intense and a little more fun.
