There are few things manlier than a male lion over looking his dominion with eyes in the background. Let's break this down like a piece of art as if Danko himself created it.

The lion represents Danko Jones. He is over seeing his kingdom (Canada) and ruling over it with gnashed paws. The lion could also be a metaphor for Jesus (see C.S. Lewis' The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe). This means Danko Jones is Jesus, the only son of our Lord who will take away the sins of the world with his Lovercall.

The lion appears shocked by what he sees off in the distance. It is probably his horde of women being courted by other young lions. After Danko Jesus gets over this shock, he will jump into action and murder those young lions for their audacity.

The eyes represent God looking over his son and his creation. The eyes have a Japanese Kabuki feel to them. This is two fold, one God is Japanese. Deal with it you Westerners. This is why the Japanese are smart, better at baseball, and build better cars than the West....they have God on their side.

The second reason is because nothing adheres to honor, loyalty, and love like a samurai. God is a samurai that wields his Hattori Hanzo sword of justice.

So while this compilation cover may seem like just a lion with eyes in the background, it perfectly encapsulates the name of the album 'This is Danko Jones.' In other words, this is Danko Jones, your Lord and Savior, come to rescue the maidens from douchebags, putzes, and chin strappers. He will take them to his Garden of Gesthemane to enjoy the pleasures of their bosoms and loins.
