Puddle of Mudd Reunite with Original Bassist

Puddle Of Mudd has reunited with guitarist Paul Phillips, according to a post at the band's MySpace page. Phillips joined the band in 2001, just in time to play on its breakthrough album Come Clean, and stayed until 2005, when he left due to creative differences with founder and frontman Wes Scantlin. The post gave no further information about Phillips' return or whether that meant that guitarist Christian Stone was no longer in the group.

Scantlin said he has always tried to keep the comings and goings of band members as friendly as possible: "I've just been through a few different people in the band, so I give 'em the benefit of the doubt and I don't try to argue with them at all. I just try to understand where they're coming from and then make an adult decision about it, and, you know, I don't fight 'em on it. But, you know, some people want to do something different with their life, I can't stop 'em, you know."

Phillips played with Operator and more recently Society Red during his hiatus from Puddle Of Mudd. In case you don't know what Operator sounds like, here is their song Soulcrusher put to the Transformers trailer.
