Heaven and Hell Artwork Revealed
When I was 10 years old, I was reading comic books and wondering why Suzy's chest was growing out past her body. This was a magical year where I had no cares in the world. It was also the year where Black Sabbath (with Dio) released their last album together - Dehumanizer.
Fast forward 17 years, I am still reading comics and wondering why Suzy's chest is growing past her body and Heaven and Hell (ex Black Sabbath members with Dio) are releasing a new album. The album is entitled The Devil You Know and the track listing is below.
01. Atom And Evil
02. Fear
03. Bible Black
04. Double The Pain
05. Rock And Roll Angel
06. The Turn Of The Screw
07. Eating The Cannibals
08. Follow The Tears
09. Neverwhere
10. Breaking Into Heaven
However, they have released information about the lead single, Bible Black, which I posted here:
"Bible Black", the epic first single, begins with [Tony] Iommi on acoustic guitar behind Dio's plaintive wail before the rhythm shifts to a menacing stomp for the rest of this dark tale about a book of sinister scriptures. One of the first songs written for the album, Dio says it established a tone for the rest of the album. "When you start off with a blockbuster like that, it makes the rest of the album so much easier because it gives you a benchmark to measure the other songs against."
But it is the album artwork that is the real reason for this article. Did they hold Guillermo del Toro hostage and force him to create the artwork for this album? This looks like a rejected character from Hellboy or Pan's Labyrinth. It still is pretty damn cool and I am going to buy the album so I can set the right mood with Suzy's chest.
