Steven Adler Not Under the Influence
TMZ reported that Steven Adler was arrested for "being
under the influence of a controlled substance." However, Steven Adler's people issued a statement denying the claim.
They say he was arrested because he hadn't finished his community service in the time frame given by the judge. They say Adler went to register as a drug offender — also court ordered — on the 26th, when cops acted on the arrest warrant stemming from the unfinished community service. He was charged with "being under the influence of a controlled substance" because that was the original charge from his July arrest.
Steven's people want to make it clear he was not under the influence of drugs.
All that courtesy of a TMZ update. But this brings up a good soap box for celebrity tabloids. Fucking stop. Just stop. And people who buy tabloids, you stop too.
When normal people can't go to the market because there are paparazzi in their face 24/7, that is sad. These actors/actresses/musicians whatever are normal people who pretend to be someone else for 6 months while filming a movie. Stop being obsessed with their lives. They are not that interesting.
We try to avoid the gossip as much as possible on here unless it is some great inner turmoil between former band members or what have you. What James Hetfield had for breakfast or what Bruce Springsteen looks like in a bathing suit is inconsequential to your daily lives. So just stop and then maybe Wentzes like Perez Hilton will go away and CNN will report actual news.
