Oasis Noel Gallagher Doesn't Like Guitar Hero
I love video games and the Rock Band/Guitar Hero games are fun games to play. We have talked to many artists who feel that they are a great thing because they expose a younger generation to great artists. Musicians like Lars Ulrich, Bang Camaro, Smashing Pumpkins, and Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols. But there are artists that have spoken out against it, Nickelback and now Oasis.
Noel Gallagher speaking with Total Guitar magazine said that "playing a guitar is not a fucking video game."
"When I meet kids I always say to them playing a guitar is not a f*cking videogame, there is no level to get to. You'll never master it and you'll never complete the game," he said, admitting that he's yet to play Guitar Hero himself.
"I've never heard of it. I suppose I'm a bit old fashioned. Whatever your entry point into music is, it has to be a good thing. It's just so worthwhile getting into."
Those are two contradictory statements. He wants kids to get into music and says however you do is a good thing, but he hates Guitar Hero and Rock Band. To further muck the waters, last year Gallagher said this:
"If it puts little plastic guitars into kids' hands and fires their imaginations, I think that's a good thing. It's harmless fun, innit.
"I'd rather that genre of videogames than somebody getting their f***ing head chopped off with a samurai sword while getting f****d by a goblin up the arse with a laser. Do you know what I mean?"
So what is it Noel? You hate the game and you love the game. Anyway, I am off to play my favorite video game "Goblin Arse Fucking" where the goal is to chop off the heads of ancient samurais while trying not to get fucked by goblins in the ass.

That goblin needs a fricking laser on his head.
