Duffy and Coldplay Lead Nomination for Brit Awards

Duffy, some throwback 70's singer like Amy Winehouse but without the drug addiction, and Coldplay, Joe Satriani rip off artists, lead the way in the 2009 Brit Awards with four.

The Ting Tings and Radiohead received three nominations a piece. If you are REALLY interested in the awards here is the original article.

We reported back here, that Joe Satriani was suing Coldplay because he alleges Coldplay ripped him off. His song "If I Could Fly" sounds very similar to Coldplay's "Viva La Vida." There was a mash up on YouTube, but was removed by Coldplay. So you will have to listen to the two songs to see for yourself. But I'll save you the time, it was almost exactly the same.

So will Joe accept all wins for Viva La Vida's Grammy awards? I think it would be great to hear this:

Amy Winehouse: "And the nominees for Record of the Year are:"

Reanimated Corpse of Tug McGraw: "Arr Gaaah Chasing Pavements - Adele"

Amy Winehouse: "Arr Gaaah blargh Viva la Vida - Coldplay."

Reanimated Corpse of Tug McGraw: "Uggh MOOOAAAN Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis"

Amy Winehouse: "MMMMMMM AAAAAA ARGH Paper Planes - M.I.A"

Reanimated Corpse of Tug McGraw: "BEEAAA ARRTTHUR Please Read the Letter - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss"

Amy Winehouse: "AAAAND The Winner is:"

Amy Winehouse and Reanimated Corpse of Tug McGraw: "BLARGHHGH Viva La Vida - Coldplay."

Disembodied Announcer Voice: Accepting for Coldplay will be Joe Satriani.

Man that would make me watch that stupid industry circle-jerk. For extended reading, check out my suggestions for spicing up the Grammy Awards from last year.
