Shinedown have announced at a recent live show that they are parting ways with their lead guitarist, Nick Perri. The band’s rhythm guitarist, Zach Meyers, will be taking over the lead role.  Nick Perri was previously of Silvertide.

Recently, Silvertide did a gig and Nick showed up and played guitar. I guess we should have assumed something was up with Shinedown, but I never put two and two together. We have no word or speculation on why Nick and Shinedown have split, but now we can hope that Silvertide puts out that long awaited second album. 

Jasin Todd, the last Shinedown guitarist, couldn't last either. But at least when he left the band he provided us with this awesome rant. (Article)
