The Honorable Alvin T. Wong (no shit, real name) of Dekalb County Georgia has ruled that Kid Rock can not use his USO shows as community service as part of last year's battery charge from his Waffle House melee. Wong wants Rock to be punished by doing something slightly less glamorous than entertaining soldiers, stating that, "Giving him credit for something he would otherwise love to do in front of a camera completely defeats the punitive purpose of performing community service."

Rock has already raised $20,000 for a Georgia homeless shelter by hosting a fundraiser at a Waffle House. He has also lashed out at Wong on his website, www.kidrock.com. Check it out, it's impossible to miss since Rock's rant is the first thing you see.

I'm not sure what to make of this retarded mess. While Rock's USO tour is definitely a positive, he shouldn't be punished with something that he was going to enjoy doing anyway. But what the hell, he just got into a brawl...they should let him off with the USO tour or maybe he can walk the dogs and pet the kittens at the humane shelter for 80 hours. Remember that Vince Neil only did 30 days for vehicular manslaughter and Keith Richards held a benefit concert for the blind to avoid a drug trafficking beef...so cut Rock some slack, Alvin.
