The Sounds in a Geico Motorcycle Commerical
I have a fondness for the Geico "Caveman" commercials. I will run into the room if I hear them on just to watch their brilliance. I noticed this new Geico commercial where two cavemen...why am I going to describe this in words when moving pictures exist:
I heard the background music and was doubly excited that the commercials I love are using a band I love from Sweden. The background music is called Hurt You by the Sounds. Listen to it!
The Sounds are a post punk revival band from Sweden and sadly haven't gotten the exposure and respect here in the states. (This marks the second post about a Swedish band on the site in less than 3 hours of each other. I swear we don't plan this shit.)
Their albums have not charted in the U.S. and it is a crying shame. Lead singer Maja Ivarsson sings with Cobra Starship on the album Snakes on a Plane on Cobra Starship's song, "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)" (check out Kyle's review of Cobra Starship).
The Sounds have been featured on a few compilation albums, but nothing too earth shattering. It is a damn shame too, because I thought American males would love to get behind Maja. See what I did there? It's a sexual reference to how hot she is.

If you preferred the song in the Geico commercial, you can find it on the album Dying To Say This To You. The album has this fantastic areola cover shot. Buy it on vinyl for the cleavage.
