Remember the Pumpkins is just Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlain with a bunch of other hired guns out to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the BAND. Somehow it seems, oh I don't know, unofficial, if you are celebrating 20 years and you don't have any of the original members at least make a cameo on stage at one tour stop.

Here is a press statement which I thought was kind of cool:

"The five-week run will be highlighted by multi-night stops in such cities as Chicago, Toronto, New York, Washington, Boston, Kansas City and Los Angeles. With such a vast repertoire, the Pumpkins are coming prepared with completely different set lists in each of the multi-night engagements with no songs being repeated over the course of the two night run. Night #1 is being called "Black Sunshine," while night #2 will be dubbed "White Crosses." A special two-night ticket bundle will be available for all multi-night engagements."

That is pretty cool, though Pearl Jam have been doing this for years with no set list the same. I also think it is an awesome idea to discount the price for two nights for the hardcore fans. There is no reason to screw them out of the opportunity to see the band and force them to pay a scalper for either show. So good job on that Billy, but bad job on not getting at least some cameos from previous members.

Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention they were playing Boston's Wang.
