What is it like to be on top of every music chart in the world? I don't know because I am an untalented asshole, but Metallica does know.
 
The band's latest album, Death Magnetic, will debut in the top ten of the following countries:

Ireland: #3
United Kingdom: #1
Australia: #6

In Australia, the band landed at the number six position based on one day sales.
 
Here in the United States, the list hasn't been released yet. However, I suspect Metallica will be at number one. They sold over 500,000 copies in the shortened week (Friday-Sunday).

Will this accomplishment be matched by AC/DC when they release Black Ice in October?
