Yet Another Velvet Revolver Update

PhotobucketVelvet Revolver is now in direct competition with Guns N' Roses for the "Pain In the Ass Tease of The Year Award" in their search for the mythical new lead singer that will part the Red Sea and lead Slash and his cohorts to the promised land of milk, honey and that golden calf.

Slash attempted to stall the press again in a recent interview at a Guitar Center (where else?) in the San Fernando Valley following the rumors that Royston Langdon had auditioned for the coveted spot.

"I think Royston's fantastic, but he's more in the Scott Weiland range, which is great for that, but what we want to do is something aggressive and very hard rock. Basically, what we originally planned to do the first time around that was sort of molded differently when Scott came into it."

Slash stated Langdon was "not necessarily the right guy for this particular band" and that the audition process  "is still ongoing. Now that we have the choice, we're gonna make sure we get the right guy."

This statement can be interpreted as "Now that we have the choice, we are going to help Axl remix Chinese Democracy for the next eight years and then audition Liberace's corpse."

The "right guy" is pictured above.
