Slipknot released their new album, All Hope is Gone today. The album is streaming in it's entirety at Spinner.com.

If you are a fan of the earlier Slipknot albums, All Hope is Gone is similar, but also a blossoming from the past. I enjoy the melodic chorus where Corey Taylor, lead singer, can showcase his vocal ability. Hardcore Slipknot fans hate it. This album mixes the catchy vocal chorus with the crushing, pinch harmonics and the insane percussion Slipknot fans are used to.

I have only listened to the album on the stream and so far the single Psychosocial, Dead Memories, and This Cold Black have stuck in my head long after I stopped listening. I think this might be the best Slipknot album (for the casual hardcore fan).

I'll have a longer review when I can find the money to purchase the album.
