I miss the Toadies. Possum Kingdom is one of those songs that is dark and haunting, but people don't give a shit about the lyrics because the song is catchy.
 
I never tire of the song though, and I certainly never tire of the album Rubberneck, which contained Possum Kingdom.
 
If you listened to this album, you would realize Possum Kingdom isn't even their best song. You would also probably agree that the album Rubberneck is one of the best albums released in the 90's. Yes, better than Metallica.
 
I was excited to know that the Toadies were back with an album that gets back to the sound of Rubberneck. No Deliverance is the bands latest album (released Aug, 19). I haven't heard all of it yet, but it does hark back to the days of old.
