This has been a bad week for Slipknot. First they were blamed for a slaying in a school in South Africa and then Joey Jordison breaks his ankle.
 
On Monday, a teen entered his high school armed with a sword and attacked four people, killing one. Well the teen was wearing a mask very similar to the one worn by Joey Jordison. That is all the school needs because they issued this statement having not heard any Slipknot music:
 
"We know the wrong kind of music and drugs have bad effects. Young people need to be informed of the effects of bad satanic music.”
 
I suppose kids need to be informed of the effects of bad satantic music, but what about Slipknot's music? It isn't satantic at all. Fuck ill-informed school officials.

If that wasn't bad, Joey Jordison broke his ankle forcing the band to take a six week hiatus. That hiatus will affect their participation at all European Festival dates, most notably Reading and Leeds.
 
Wait a minute, the sword swinger in South Africa had a similar Joey Jordison mask on and Joey breaks his ankle. Coincidence? Yes, because that mask the sword dueler was using was not officially licensed merchandise.
