The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is a joke and a travesty. The board that selects who is going to be on the ballot are not real musicians. So the nominations simply reflect that individuals taste. This leaves other crucial artists out of the Hall of Fame, because they are not liked by Jann Wenner.
 
There are notable artists like Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, and T-Rex who are not in the Hall of Fame and they should be. But that is a topic for another time, because the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is opening annexes in other cities besides Cleveland.

It always pissed me off that the Hall of Fame induction ceremony is performed in New York City and not in Cleveland. So to rectify that situation and add some credibility to a Hall of Fame that is meaningless, the Hall of Fame will open up a branch in the Soho neighborhood of New York City. The branch will open in November.
 
Notable New York acts will be featured like Billy Joel, Blondie, and the Velvet Underground. I am sure it will be a corporate mecca for mainstream douchebaggery that won't feature any kick ass punk acts from CBGB.
