It hardly seems possible. An album 12 years in the making costing an estimated 10 million dollars will finally...finally be released. Tthe cogs of the reocrd machine are in motion to get the album in the public's hands.

Of course, I am talking about Guns N' Roses' album Chinese Democracy and the album has been the proverbial Lost Ark at Geffen Records. I was pretty sure the album would never be released, the possibility still exists it won't be.

Billboard.com is reporting a "big box company" - like Wal-Mart or Best Buy, are currently in negotiations to exclusively sell the album. Combine this information with the fact Shackler's Revenge, the first song actually released from Chinese Democracy by Axl, will be included in the Rock Band 2 video game. See the article here.

If the album is released I will have to make good on all the promises I made over the years using Chinese Democracy as my fail safe. Those promises, which I have meticiously cataloged are:

I will move out of my parent's house when Chinese Democracy is released.

I will marry you when Chinese Democracy is released.

I will stop going to hookers when Chinese Democracy is released.

When Chinese Democracy is released, I will stop visiting the truck stops for the "funions."
