Metallica Setlist and New Song Cyanide
We have been busy doing interviews and trying to transcribe them. We have been a bit distracted, but not too distracted to realize Metallica played this past weekend at Ozzfest.
From the reviews we received, Metallica is back and ready to kick ass. The band unleashed a new song off Death Magnetic entitled Cyanide. People are going nuts over it...they love it. I will reserve judgement until I hear a better version. But the video of them performing it is below.

Pretty good. What I love about Metallica is that every new song or album has a different vibe and sound. The last Slayer and Maiden albums were bloody aweful because it was the same old stuff, the same old sounds only nowhere near as good. Its boring. When I buy the next Metallica album I will be excited because I know there will be stuff in there that ive never heard from them before!
Oh and the idiots who want them to be 19 years old again need to get real. The same idiots dont hold there other favourite bands up to that standard. They want this bunch of 45 year old men with families to be red raw like they were in their 20's. So so stupid!
I agree with you. Sometimes we get so caught up in all the great material from our favorite bands past that I think it clouds our outlook on their new material. I don't know what the average group's lifespan is, but Metallica has exceeded it and then some.
While most bands music quality has faded overtime with each release, I think Metallica's music has remained strong. They are not sellouts. They just sellout(every show). Well worth the price of admission to see these guys, and for some married old guys they still kick ass.
I would prefer that they pretend to be 19 years old.
