Rush On the Colbert Report

Tonight on the Colbert Report: Rush. The band hasn't appeared on U.S. national tv in over 30 years. The reason is because they don't feel their style of music is suited for tv. Plus they can't get their songs under the allotted 3.30 second timeframe. But Colbert has offered them the spotlight and Rush took it.

I will hand it to Colbert. He has been able to pull some big name rock acts to his show. REM, Mellencamp, the Roots, Peter Frampton, Neil Young, and now Rush. Soon he will be able to pull the bigger names like Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, and Keanu Reeves.
