Nikki Sixx Talks About The Dirt
Nikki Sixx sat down with Reuters and had this to say about the upcoming biopic on the Crue's book "The Dirt."
"We're trying to get them [MTV] out of the way to make this movie that should have been made a long time ago. MYV has become bogged down in its own way. It's a channel that used to be hip and has no actually become unhip. We signed with them because we believed they were right, but they haven't come to the table. We need to find the right partner. They are not the right partner."
Are you saying a company that doesn't play music, based soley on reality tv, and puts out shit movies like "Step Up," are not the right channel for a Motley Crue biopic? I would agree with Nikki there, but MTV has ceased to be relevant since about 1998. The Real World and Road Rules were having spin offs, the "actors" on the show were becoming famous, the channel started playing less and less music videos. I think in this situation Nikki reaps what he sows here. If he had paid attention in the last 10 years, he would have figured out MTV sucked a while ago.
Die MTV for producing the following slop:
The Hills
Kurt Loder
My Super Sweet Sixteen
A Shot at Love with Tila Tequlia
8th and Ocean
Viva La Bam/Bam's Unholy Union
Date My Mom
Engaged and Underage
John Norris
Laguna Beach
Making the Band
Maui Fever
Nick Cannon
Newport Harbor
Real World
Road Rules
Tiara Girls
Every Awards Show they host
