Metallica Could Be Without Label
The Pulse of Radio reports that Metallica's future with Warner Brothers is uncertain. Warner Music Group, may not extend the band a record contract after this next release.
They are probably going to wait and see how many actual copies this album will sell before renewing the contract. After hearing their assinine pricing scheme ($21.99 for a hard copy, $11.99 for a digital version) I wouldn't be surprised to see this album become the biggest album to be ripped on file sharing websites. It serves Lars right for being a douche about Napster and refusing to move into the 21st Century. If Nine Inch Nails, Prince, and Radiohead can try new methods of releasing records, so can you. But this is Lars.

"It serves Lars right for being a douche about Napster and refusing to move into the 21st Century." - Craig are you fucking stupid? Lars doesn't want to give his music away for free. Who does? Nobody. Why does wanting to protect your artwork make you a douche? Downloading studio albums for free is illegal. Surely you aren't that ignorant. Why do pieces of shit like you want music for free, JUST because its on the internet?
