Jon Cranny of Straight.com has compiled some numbers about Motley Crue's Saints of Los Angeles. The single has only sold 10,000 copies on iTunes and Amazon.com, but it has sold 47,000 copies online through EA's Rock Band. Those numbers only include the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band.

Will the music industry have to start including Rock Band/Guitar Hero downloads in their lists? I can see the Billboard Top 200 list now: This week Linkin Park is atop the Billboard Top Video Game Download list for the third week in a row. Either way I am sure Trent Reznor is working on a new way to market his albums...perhaps exclusive download for Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 owners?
