Lars Ulrich Talks Metallica Album

The new Metallica album might be the most-anticipated album since Chinese Democracy was released. Oh right, Chinese Democracy hasn't been released yet. I guess that makes the Metallica album the second most-anticipated album.

Lars Ulrich sat down with The Pulse of Radio and tried to describe the sound. Here was his quote:

"My dad was up at the house a couple, three, four weeks ago so I played him a couple, three, four songs and I said, 'Well?' And he goes, 'It sounds like Metallica.' And I don't know if you can define it, I mean we can sit and get into, you know, little definitions about that, but he just looked at me and said, 'That sounds like Metallica.' And that's pretty cool."

Maybe Torben Ulrich knows what he is talking about. Lars played him a clip that they felt could have been the opening song on St. Anger, and he shot it down. Thank Torben one less crap song appeared on St. Anger. Since we can no longer trust Lars' opinion on the record, let's trust Torben.
