David Byrne is Playing a Building
David Byrne is a genius and an artist. The Talking Heads were a great band and I don't care what you think Joe Wettner.
However, David has been kind of a recluse as of late and he definely refuses to reunite the Talking Heads. So what is he up to now? Well he is going to playing an entire building as a music instrument.
New York state officials say that Byrne will create a temporary installation in the Great Hall of the Battery Maritime Building.
The "Playing the Building" installation will include devices attached to ceiling beams, plumbing, electrical conduits and other parts of the structure. Sound will be produced through vibration and thus making the entire building function as an instrument.
