Pearl Jam recently started recording a new album, which could come out as early as this year. According to Billboard.com, the band is currently laying down four or five songs for its ninth studio set. The guys are teaming up with longtime producer Brendan O'Brien for the first time since 1998. O'Brien is known for taking a short amount of time in the studio.

Hmm, what Pearl Jam CD did Brendan work on? Vs and Vitalogy are great Pearl Jam cds. However, Brendan also worked on No Code, which might be one of the worst Pearl Jam albums to date. I stand corrected, that would be Love Reign O'er Me. I love the Who version and hate the Pearl Jam version. I want to forcibly press colorful pushpins into my ears to avoid Eddie screaming.
