Metallica's recently announced web site — MissionMetallica.com — where the band says it will offer fans a chance to "experience the [group's] new album before it's done," is scheduled to go "live" on May 12.

So basically this will be a website much like Radiohead and NIN had for Metallica's album release. It will probably be a website where fans can download a steaming turd polished by Lars Ulrich personally for more than $10.00.
