There's nothing like terrorizing the unsuspecting populace with high volume, restrictive denim and guitar solos. I felt like Slim Pickens riding that atom bomb at the end of Dr. Strangelove, but instead of a nuclear warhead, it was The Dirty Pearls. Those poor bastards at the mall didn't know what was going to hit 'em.
Here are the Pearls socking it to the bewildered shoppers at the Christiana Mall, just a few hours prior. What you can't see is the other show behind the camera. Panicky grandmothers, converted fans, pandemonium and more wet thirteen year old girls than at a pool in July.
The lads played two "acoustic" sets right in between the "Under $10 Sale" section and the Rock Band display.
Clearly, their definition of "acoustic" strays from the norm. Check out Johnny B showing those Rock Band boxes how its done. Thats right kids, put down the fake guitars and pick up the real ones, because I've never seen thirteen year old girls ask for autographs after a game of guitar hero.
You can catch up with The Dirty Pearls May 16th at The Mercury Lounge in NYC. Its the West Coast tour kickoff party, so bring your sister.

Ride 'Em, Slim!

Hindsight being 20/20, I realize that I should have requested "I Think We're Alone Now."

Look st that massive drum kit!
I was hoping to see pics of the "panicky grandmothers".
