Rolling Stones to Release Cocksucker Blues?
Mick Jagger wants to release Cocksucker Blues, the concert film that documents the 1972 Exile on Main Street tour. The problem is that the documentary was directed by Robert Frank who does not get along with Mick after they couldn't see eye to eye over the vision of the documentary. There is a court order that forbids the film from being shown unless Frank is physically present.
Frank's cut shows more about the drugs the Stones ingested and the various sex acts performed on them, for them, or by them. Mick wanted to show more about concerts and onstage footage. So the Stones fired Frank.
Let's not kid ourselves here. We all know the Stones were so baked during that tour that they barely showed up onstage. I can only assume the music wasn't up to Stones standard; so why not show what they were good at back in 72...the drinking, the drugging, and the sexing?
