Slash had a few things to say to Contact Music about the state of Rock N' Roll. I will just include his quote.

"It's sad. There's no identifiable guitar players in rock 'n' roll any more. With the exception of (White Stripes star) Jack White - who is great - the new breed of bands aren't bringing out decent guitarists. "Rock 'n' roll is so diluted in this millennium, you just don't hear good solos. And I hate emo (mainstream soft-core punk)."

You mean to tell me that Fall Out Boy has no identifiable guitar player? What about Good Charlotte? How about Simple Plan?
