Van Halen Cancels/Postpones Tour
It what might go down as the most shocking music industry story of the year, Van Halen has postponed their current U.S. tour, and may in fact cancel it outright. According to WMMR.com
I for one am incredibly surprised by this news. Not since Britney Spears flashed her cooter for the 34th time in a year has something so unpredictable happened. The quote above is merely speculation. It is very possible that another factor has caused the postponement. I have also heard that Wolfgang Van Halen got in a barfight and was in legal trouble.
If you didn't catch Van Halen last year when they successfully toured without strife, then you deserve to miss them this year. You should have known. A zebra doesn't change it's stripes, and Eddie Van Halen can't hold his booze.

****UPDATE****
The Van Halen tour is still on. They have only cancelled a few dates (Dallas, Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Raleigh North Carolina). Here is the official word from the tour promoter.
"According to Eddie Van Halen's physician, he is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures."
We will keep you updated as this saga continues.
| The reason for the alleged cancellation is that guitarist Eddie Van Halen is having "issues," according to the source. There has been no official comment or statement of any kind from representatives for Van Halen, but the Web site for the American Airlines Center in Dallas, where the band is scheduled to appear on Monday night (March 3rd), is still listing the concert. |

| According to numerous unsubstantiated reports online, internal band tensions have been flaring up again as the tour has gone forward. The group hit the road last fall with original singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 22 years. |
