Trent Reznor is a Child

Gigwise.com reports that Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor took a swipe at TVT Records on his web site yesterday, clearly revelling in the label's demise.

Under the title "You're gonna get yours," the post simply reads: "Not ALL news in the music industry is bad these days" with a link to a story about the collapse of TVT.

Reznor famously fell out several times with the his former label, including feuds over album producers, single releases and more pressingly the royalties from the ten-song EP "Head Like A Hole" in 1990.

In 1992, Reznor reached an agreement with TVT that he could move to another label while still paying a small amount of proceeds.

TVT officially announced that it will be filing for bankruptcy after 23 years in business yesterday.

Mr. Reznor is a bit jaded about the state of music. In fact, he recommended we steal as much music as we can. See this post. But does he need to gloat over the dead carcass of another luddite record company? I thought you were above this Trent.
