Our DJ friend from WMMR, Jacky Bam Bam, is a distinguished mummer. It is hard to explain the Philadelphia Mummer's Tradition. Wikipedia does a good job explaining some of the tradition. But what it can't capture is the amount of dedication, loyalty, and fortitude needed to "mum" every year on New Year's Day.

Jacky recently underwent some massive surgery and we wish him well in his recovery. He started back to work Friday (Jan 25, 2008).
