Chris Daughtry bites the hand that feeds him
According to Wmmr.com:
| Daughtry singer and American Idol runner-up Chris Daughtry told RollingStone.com on Monday (January 14th) that the show that gave him his first shot at massive exposure is starting to slip. Daughtry, who finished in fourth place during the series' 2006 season, explained, "I feel like it's definitely lacking some credibility at this point. It's in a state of decline and if they don't do something about it, it's probably not gonna last too much longer. I'm sure that'll be used against me, but that's the truth, you know?" Despite his remarks, Daughtry told us a while back that he didn't regret his time on the show and felt it could still potentially help artists: "I don't regret it at all, I'd do it all over again if I had to. I think it's a great tool for people to use. I mean, it's all about taking the opportunities that are in front of you and making the best of 'em and using them to your advantage. I think it's cheesy if you're gonna go on there and use gimmicks and things like that and not be yourself, but if you're gonna go on there and you're gonna be yourself and you think you have it what it takes, I think it's a great opportunity to show the world that." |
What tact you have Daughtry. Rex Wettner shows more subtlety on a first date. No matter what you say or do now, it will never change the fact that you came into prominence by trying to impress Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson. You were their monkey and they were your master. Dance monkey, dance!
