It is a tragedy to murder John Lennon's songs. But it seems Yoko Ono loved to try...and still is trying. She licensed his songs to be remade and all proceeds went to Dafur. That is a noble cause, but what isn't is allowing a big, corporate douchetrio cover some of the greatest songs.

Here is Green Day's cover of John's Working Class Hero. While catchy, the meaning is lost because Green Day did it.


But the memory of John can be protected. It doesn't have to be raped by coporate America (Target), Yoko Ono, or faux punk bands. I submit for your listening pleasure, A Perfect Circle's cover of Imagine.
