Led Zeppelin Tickets average $14,500
Owen Gibson of the The Guardian is reporting that the average price of tickets sold through London's leading online ticket reseller, Seatwave, was approximately $14,700 for Led Zeppelin's reunion gig.
There is no legislation covering the resale of concert tickets and sporting events other than football matches but the culture, media and sport select committee will this week release a hotly anticipated report on the matter.
So lucky you Great Britian. Here in the States it is a free-for-all where scalpers eat up all the best tickets and leave the hard working folk out of the concert. Soon I will release my nearly fail proof way of getting into that "sold out" event. It will be released just in time for concert season.
Also the duplicitious reporting of the Guardian failed to mention how many tickets were sold through Seatwave to create an average price of $14,700. If one ticket was sold for about $29,000 and another $250.00, the average price would be near the $14,000 threshold. It is a misleading statistic.
