Iron Maiden will be embarking on a World Tour starting soon. To make it to all the stops in the world they will have a giant ass plane. Here is the update from their official site with pictures of the Eddie Plane.

"It was always slightly less nerdy than train-spotting, but now plane spotting just became pretty damn cool.

"The MAIDEN plane (as yet un-named of course!) is out of the paint shop and currently in service with Astraeus, flying from Gatwick and around Africa and the Middle East!

"The plane still needs its name, and maybe a little more artwork, but other than that everything's ready to go and MAIDEN depart the UK on January 30 — more details to come.

"For fans who want to catch a look at the plane, we'll post arrival and departure times on the web once the tour kicks off.

"Check out these pics and excuse the miserable British weather!"

Besides the plane being totally kick ass, Bruce Dickinson himself will pilot the beast. 6-6-6 is the number of his pilots license.
