The Paul Stanley Signature Guitar
In this day and age, it seems everyone has their own line of custom guitars. The guitars all look similar to the ones they play on stage. For instance, here is Dimebag Darrell on stage and his signature guitars:

They even have custom basses. Here is Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and his custom bass guitar:

But Paul Stanley of KISS has never really had a guitar that encapsulates his onstage persona...until now. I am happy to introduce to you the Paul Stanley Hirsute Guitar 4000.

The guitar was created by Norelco with Paul Stanley in mind. It marks Norelco's first foray into the lucrative custom guitar business. Tracy Dubois, lead technical contact on the Stanley project, said this about the guitar
"We wanted to create a guitar that when you looked at it, it screamed 'Any ladies want to get kissed?' just like Mr. Stanley would to the millions and millions of adoring fans. I think we were able to find the perfect synergy between form, function, and raw machismo."
While the guitar may look great, how does it play? For that answer, we turned to an ex-Fender guitar technician, Ross Feraldo.
"The guitar plays like nothing I have ever played before. The pickups are excellent and it has a sturdy mat of hair as the body of the guitar. I was skeptical at first when Norelco approached me. 'You want to shave Paul Stanley and create a guitar body out of his chest hair?' I hung up the phone. But I immediately called them back and said 'This is the opportunity of a lifetime. I'll do it.' You will soon see Norelco up there with Fender and Gibson as the best guitars ever made."
We tried to reach Paul Stanley for comment, but he was busy on a KISS Farewell tour at the time of press. We were able to catch this photograph of him playing the guitar.

You can buy the Paul Stanley Hirsute 4000 from any local store that sells music equipment or you can order directly from Norelco's website.

We made light of the KISS merchandising team in this post. Just when you think it is has gotten totally ridiculous, KISS releases another item that is completely useless. Well we introduce to you, the KISS Knifes. Are you a gang member who needs to draw blood from an innocent civilian to prove your worth? Well what better way to slit that child's throat on the subway than with the KISS Knife. Embossed with all four characters from KISS on what appears to be the old MTV Headbanger's Ball set. Intricate detailing on the blade ensure that ... -

Blogs N' Roses Retro Week rolls on with never made KISS products. KISS is a band that has put out more products with their face on it than Uncle Ben. They are low hanging fruit, and we love low hangers. We created so many fake KISS products that really need to be revisited. I have zero photoshop skills so my horrible MS Paint work can also be admired in these posts.
