Alice In Chains Might Be Making New Music

It has been a glorious two years since Alice In Chains has reunited. They kicked ass on tour. (link) So now what about an album?

MTV.com asked Jerry Cantrell about a new album:

"Definitely possibly. I don't think you can put a time limit on it, because first we have to come up with a record we're satisfied with, and I think we can do that."

The band does not have any complete songs written, but Cantrell says they have been "tinkering" with a few ideas here and there.

"The body of stuff that's been coming out so far - all the riffs and song ideas - are really cool. It's really aggressive and everything Alice was, but it's moved on into a different thing too. It's [indicative of the] transformation of this band. The dynamic is different, and it should be. But Mike [Inez], Sean [Kinney], and I, we're still here. We're still a big part of how this band sounds."

Not to mention that the new singer William DuVall sounds almost identical to Layne. I bet Cantrell misses the lyrical stylings of Layne (Angry Chair).
