Tom Morello Joins Hollywood

Hollywood writers are on strike. Who cares, right? This is a music blog. But when the words "protest" and "walk out" are uttered, Tom Morello comes running like a tingling vagina of a 12 year old who just heard Justin Timberlake is in the mall.

Armed with only his acoustic guitar, his superior intellect, and his hatred for democracy, George Bush, and fig newtons, Morello started to play outside of Fox's headquarters on Friday.

The impromptu concert pulled about the same numbers his Nightwatchman performances pull, about 3000 people forced to be there. Then instead of playing something the picketers wanted to hear, Rage Against the Machine, he played "Union Song" from the album One Man Revolution by his band The Nightwatchman.

The song was appropriate.

For our brothers and our sisters
Up and down that picket line
For the unnamed and unnumbered
Who struggle brave and long
For the union men and women
Standing up and standing strong

Tom Morello
