Ozzy is either unrealistic or in denial

According to the website of Philly's number 1 rock station, Ozzy Osbourne is suffering terribly from downloads of his most recent album.  Surprisingly, Ozzy doesn't seem to think that the lack of good music on the album has anything to do with it.  Perhaps it's because everybody around him is still telling him that he is relevant to the modern rock scene.  Funny, I was just talking about the shittiness of this album at a party last night.  Here is a link to the review that I put out after the release.  I actually didn't mind it so much back then.

"Ozzy Osbourne told Australia's Herald Sun that sales of his latest album, Black Rain, are "suffering terribly" as a result of illegal downloading. Osbourne explained, "I've been suffering terribly from people downloading it. If they don't find something to stop it, people won't be able to make records. There won't be any new bands. How are they going to survive? I'm an old-timer, I've been doing it 40 years now, but new bands are going to suffer. It's ridiculous, you could be doing it for nothing."

Osbourne added that he's been forced to tour more in order to make up for lost income from CD sales, saying, "I've never done in a long time as many live shows as I'm doing now. This year I've done 90 shows. I mean, I ain't getting any younger."

Let's make one thing clear; Bn'R still considers Ozzy a legend.  He is one of the most influential song-writers in rock history.  Unfortunately, sometime around 2001 he ceased to be an enigmatic figure, and became a walking, talking parody of himself.  I personally blame his wife/business advisor Sharon and his two youngest children, Jack and Kelly.  If he would only get his shit together like like Tony Iommi and reunite with Black Sabbath, there may be hope yet.  Oh well, I won't hold my breath.

This is insane. Maybe people are tired of hearing Zakk Wylde play the same guitar riff, or Bordin beat the drums in the same way he's done since Faith No More.

Ozzy needs to return to breaking new ground in music and the only way he can is if he hooks back up with Tony 'The Riffmeister' Iommi.
