Bon Jovi Ready for 10-night stay in New Jersey
Tonight Bon Jovi kicks off a 10 night stint to open up the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Notice how the 10 night stay is longer than Richie Sambora's rehab residency?
Workers finished erecting the stage late yesterday at the Prudential Arena, new home of the New Jersey Devils, and Bon Jovi tweaked a few sound issues.
When asked about the new arena for sound, the King of Booze and Cheese (Richie Sambora) said, "It sounds good - that's the main thing. And it's comfortable for us, too. So it's musician-friendly and fan-friendly at the same time."
Bon Jovi had this to say about the new arena, "I think they invested a lot of time and effort into soundproofing the building. When they're really primarily building this as a hockey venue, that's pretty great."

The setlist can be easily determined by who is opening the shows. Country acts will yield a slightly more country sounding setlist, while a "rocker" opener may yield a more rocking setlist. This is just my prediction.
Openers for tonight and tomorrow (10/26) are My Chemical Romance, another Jersey native. So tonights show and tomorrow shows are worthless. You can easily miss them and not miss a damn thing.
Openers for Sunday October 28 and Tuesday October 30 are Big & Rich. This is probably the best opener Bon Jovi will have and the only band that can headline a festival themselves. So try and get tickets to these shows if you can because it is all downhill.
Thursday November 1 and Saturday November 3 = Gretchen Wilson She is a good opener and might fit well for the Jersey crowd.
Sunday November 4 and Wednesday November 7 = Daughtry
Friday November 9 and Saturday November 10 = All American Rejects
Tickets are still available for some shows through Ticketmaster.com and range from $49.50-$303.00.
