The Elusive Silvertide's Return to Action
It appears that our friends at WMMR managed to flush the elusive Silvertide out of their lair this Sunday for the MMR*B*Q 2, a half-assed sequel meant to commemorate the end of the summer concert season. By the looks of the pictures (courtesy of www.wmmr.com )the band may have been a little premature in ending their mysterious exile. Only guitarist Mark Melchiorre (far right) looks like he's still stuck in the '70s. For some reason Walt and Brian have adopted the same mono-chrome outfits one would expect from a half-assed Misfits tribute band and guitar wunderkind Nick Perri is disappointingly absent. I wish I could tell you what they sounded like, but the BnR staff refused to drive into Camden and face the likes of Seether just to check out this ad-hoc Silvertide line-up. If you witnessed this event, kindly let us know if they pulled it off with their usual aplomb. Its good to see the band back in action, and its also a relief to see that half of this band doesn't look like the roadies from Blues Traveler anymore. However, there is no excuse for the clean cut dork on lead guitar.

C'mon...this fucking guy? Everyone knows the proper ratio for any replacement is 95% attitude, 5% chops. If Rick Camaro slammed his hand in the door of his Pinto, this band would have still looked and sounded better than with this fucking guy.
I have attached this picture of Nick Perri, to remind Silvertide of the days when they could have their cake and eat it too.

Is that Vic Wettner on guitar?
