Anselmo dies of AIDS
Anselmo died of AIDS. Anselmo Feleppa, was the first lover of George Michael and he died of AIDS on March 26, 1993. Due to Michael's pop star status the relationship had to remain a secret, but when he was arrested for lewd activity in a bathroom in California, that all changed.
George Michael did an interview for a Stephen Fry documentary entitled "HIV and me." In the interview Michael reveals he "does not believe in tests." What he meant to say, according to the BBC producer Ross Wilson, "He [George] says he finds the wait for results too harrowing and that he hasn't had a test since at least 2004 due to his fears it might be positive."
George asked to be removed from the documentary and according to his mouthpiece "he felt it was too close and too personal a journey."
