50 Cent vs. Kanye West Listening Party

Today, many Americans around the country (and the world) commemorated the sixth anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001.  Some prayed, some bowed their heads in silence, some cried, some stood tall, but the real Americans, the real patriots, did something even more - they released rap albums.

I know exactly what you're thinking right now: Did George Washington finally release his long awaited debut album?  Well, not quite; Gizzle-Dub is still in the studio putting the finishing touches on his album, which is rumored to be called Da Redcoat Banga'.  However, watch out for his new single this month, U 'Tard & Fetherr'd.

But enough about Founding Fathers.  This post is about two of the biggest rap stars in the game today:  50 Cent (a.k.a. Curtis Jackson) and Kanye West (a.k.a. Kanye West).  They both decided to commemorate the anniversary of the bloodiest, deadliest terrorist attack on American soil by selling little pieces of plastic to the public at $18 a piece.  But fear not, loyal BNR readers!  You can get your ghetto, criminal, misogynistic, tricked-out thug fix over the Internet for free!

Choose wisely:
Yo nigga! Hook me up with that 50 shit!
Please play some Kanye for me, kind sir.

50 and Kanye may be battling it out on the airwaves for rap music supremacy right now, but they're actually quite fond of one another.  It's a little known fact that before 50 blew up the rap game, he was actually a petite Asian girl working in a small grocery store in Queens.  He hit it off with Kanye at a party, who encouraged him to follow his rapping dreams (after getting a sex change operation and a haircut).

I was just in Queens. I wish I would have known this because I could have fondly stared at the Asians and wondered, "Which of you will be rap's next big thing?" Instead I just stared with no point.
