Paul "Bonovox" Hewson is going for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2008. By that I mean, U2 is slated to release their follow up to 2004's How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.

According to NME.com, U2 has written their new album. Producer of the album, Daniel Lanois, said "We've been invite as writers this time. I did three writing sessions with (Brian) Eno and U2 - one in Fex Morocco; two in France...the record's kind of making itself."

Footage of the band performing some new tracks is included on the Lanois documentary "Here Is What Is." Has anyone ever seen Lanois? He looks like the illegimate child of Billy Bob Thorton, Bruce Springsteen, and Johnny Cash. (Can three people have a baby? Yes, watch Tom Sellick in "Three Men and a Baby" I think that movie is about three guys who concieve one child.)
