Keith Richards eats cigarette
This past Sunday (August 26, 2007) at the O2 Arena in London, it was the final show of the The Rolling Stones "A Bigger Bang" world tour. The tour lasted for two years, longer than most of Mick's relationships.
After being criticized the previous week for smoking onstage despite a smoking ban, Keith Richards decided to hold his own protest. He ate a cigarette on stage.
Being an avid Keith Richards historian, I can safely say that isn't the nastiest thing he has eaten. There was a train of groupies that he had back on the '72-'73 World Tour that would put a Yeti produced by the mating of Kevin Federline and R. Kelly to shame.
The show was also watched by the bands previous bassist Bill Wyman. No member of the Stones mentioned if this tour was their last. In case you haven't heard. There was a rumor that this tour was to be their last.
Here is an artist rendition of what those groupies may have looked like back in the 70's.
