The Killers plan a set of Rarities
The Killers are still touring in support of their sophomore album Sam's Town, but the band is not slowing down yet. Besides devolving ideas in soundchecks for their third album, the band is planning on releasing an album of rarities and B-sides.
Brandon Flowers talked to Billboard about the record to be released at the end of year.
"In England we have a lot of B-sides that people in America would never know about because we don't have singles here. So we have about 15 of these songs that people have never heard, and we wanted to stick them on something for people to get to have them all together."
Initial songs expected to make the cut include "All the Pretty Faces," "Move Away" from the Spider-Man 3 soundtrack, and "Shadowplay," which is a Joy Division cover that can be found on the upcoming biopic Control.
Last year the band released a Christmas single, "A Great Big Sled," that raised $100,000 for the Red charity campaign. Flowers said the single, entitled "Don't Shoot Me Santa" will be released on December 1. Clearly, the Santa in Flowers song has either been brainwashed by Ted Nugent or IS Ted Nugent. Either way, we found the last picture to survive of Santa Claus before he was shot and beheaded by the men in the picture.

Just kidding kids, Santa is alive and well. He comes into your room on Christmas Eve and touches you inappropriately. He may look like your step-father Bobby or your Aunt Molly, but I assure you he is Santa Claus. Close your eyes and wish for Christmas morning.
